Fractured

Fractured, an experimental photographic project, delves deeply into the concept of alternative selves, exploring different aspects of identity and self-perception. Using self-portraiture as a narrative tool, it initiates a discussion on race, sexuality, and mixed heritage within the broader context of gender-based violence. It aims to examine complex trauma responses, such as fight, flight, and freeze responses, by deconstructing and challenging rape myths, like the 'perfect victim' concept, through the lens of distinct characters.

The internal and external conflicts of survivors are investigated through a critical and satirical perspective. In order to challenge and combat biases, which are ingrained in our society and enable victim blaming, by advocating for open dialogue.
