The RiseUp Station
The RiseUp Station is a Social Prehabilitation Centre that aims to prevent homelessness among young, at-risk people aged 14-17. It provides them with a safe space, where they can escape from their unhealthy environments and make them work through their difficulties by participating in therapy. They can express themselves in various art classes and then showcase their work to the public in the gallery space. The design is inspired by a tree, that, surrounded by concrete, grows despite the difficulty. The concrete symbolises trauma and the concept shows that experiencing trauma does not need to stop the growth and development.
