Tertulia, Joining Our Creative Forces
Tertulia, Joining Our Creative Forces is a series of editorial fashion photographs.
Nicoló reconstructs a Tertulia (Spanish, refers to a reunion between people to discuss art and science) both in studio and in outdoor settings for young creative minds to create “fashion moments” that he subsequently photographs.
There is not a theme that connects these images, neither an order to see them.
Nicoló wanted to include as much diversity in the medium as he could possibly do: from the colours of the clothes and the settings, to the models themselves and the composition of the images.
Runway On Arthur’s Seat, 2023 The idea of this shoot came from a collection of garments created by the fashion designer, Chiara Jack. The models (Heather Graham, Erin Roger, and Anna Catchpole) are walking in a wonderland characterised by shades of red and green, with the contrast of the black and white of the zebras.
In The Deep Purple Forest, 2023 This photograph was taken as part of a shoot done in collaboration with the designer, Chiara Jack. The models (Heather Graham, Erin Roger, and Anna Catchpole) are posing in a surreal environment with an interesting fauna.
Dolls House, 2023 I got inspiration from the window of a charity shop in Edinburgh, which had a dolls house on display. I thought to myself how cool it would be to create a shoot around that theme, so I bought one for myself. The colours of the dolls house reminded me of the clothes from the designer Anna Watson, and I decided to contact her for a collaboration!
Dinner’s Ready, 2023 This is an image taken as part of a series I have done in collaboration with the fashion designer, Anna Watson. The game of proportions and the composition of the image makes the model Anna Catchpole become an actual doll in a toy house.
Boarding, 2023 This portrait was taken at the end of March 2023 in a small airport in Capannori, which is a zone of the city of Lucca (Italy). Through my contacts I managed to get access to the venue and used this unusual location for one of my fashion shoots! The model, Letizia Vita, is waiting for her pilot whilst enjoying the shiny sun of an Italian spring.

Untitled, 2023 This photograph was taken after one of the designers I collaborated with in one of my previous shoots, Charlotte Hume, called me to ask if I could shoot her final collection of clothes for her university project…I did not hesitate to say yes! The model, Sarah Eve, is wearing a beautiful dress whilst in a very elegant pose.
