‘Feminine Visions’ is a project looking at the feminine symbolism connections in still life art. The work references still life paintings from the past and the symbolic language that is imbedded in certain objects used within these paintings.

I wanted to add a modern perspective to the symbolic feminine coded language made centuries ago in the world of art. I created these figure cut-outs of female figures as a window looking into the feminine being and how it is viewed in the art world. I want to show that this language does not stand in today’s society with how its views femininity.
