My goal was to create a safe centre for children in urban areas where there is a shortage of child friendly spaces. After conducting research for my dissertation, I realised that the environment plays a crucial role in a child's future. My plan was to build a centre in Craigmillar that focuses on fostering imagination, nature connection, and well-being. The project features a greenhouse where children can engage in playful gardening, gain new skills and stay physically active. The aim is to shape children's perceptions of their environment and empower them for a brighter future through opportunities and support.
