The Reunion Canal Project
Throughout COVID-19, the entire world longed for freedom and connectivity to others, and centralised urban spaces provided communities and groups with the ability to reconnect. The Reunion Canal Project focuses on reinvigorating public spaces, utilising two community buildings to link these spaces and what lies between them. The Reunion Promenade provides this connectivity to the Forth Canoe Club and Edinburgh Union Canal Society, with a new restaurant/bar and social space for all uses by any community. The project centres around the Union Canal, this encompasses humanity in all its diversity, one of my core values as a designer.
