Using the historic site of Belhaven Brewery, TimberTide aims to successfully rehabilitate ex-prisoners back into everyday society using a variety of techniques. Most importantly, however, is the use of surf therapy to not only encourage activity but also teach valuable crafting skills through the construction of wooden surfboards to aid in long term rehabilitation. TimberTide follows a concept of fluidity that aims to encourage freedom but with subtle hints of guidance to create valuable and contributing members of society.
