The Edinburgh Music Base
The aim is to create an inclusive space where musicians of all ages and abilities have the option to learn music whether it be an instrument, composing music or even learning about the industry. In addition to the learning, there will be rehearsal rooms available for bands or groups of musicians to use in their free time and a stage area for live performances or music seminars.

Visual of Performance Area

Visual of Classroom: Classes run at different times during the day to learn about the music industry and the theory of music. A separate room is available for lessons on instruments.

Visual of Recording Studio: This visual shows the booths where the musicians will be recording and their breakout area where they can sit and chill while waiting to record their parts.

Image 04 - Visual of Recording Desk/Instrument Storage: The recording desk has been set up to allow the producer to work away from the artists when needed but still close enough for him to communicate with them during the process. The instrument storage is available for people who need to borrow an instrument and before/after use they book it out and sign it back in and can only use them on the premises.

Visual of the Communal Seating Area: This area has been added to allow the users of the building to relax during class or rehearsal breaks.

Visual of Reception Desk: To allow for people to get information and help around the building.

Visual of Public Café: The cafe is situated on the ground floor to allow public access to the building.

Short Section: This visual shows the main materials used throughout the building.

Long Section: This render shows us how the space will look with most of its materials from the walls and floors to the furnishings.
