Forget Me Not Box
Forget Me Not Box is a reminiscence therapy toolkit, aimed at helping those with dementia recall memories and retain identity. The box contains all the tools to create a personal reminiscence therapy session that triggers the five senses. The aim is to make reminiscence therapy accessible and easy to understand.
Forget Me Not Box in use.
The box itself is a made from birchwood and perspex. The top being a frame for photos.
USB connection for adding sound, music or voice notes.
A leaflet with information, instructions and suggestions on how to use the box.
Inside, the box is split into sections for each sense.
How the communication will look whilst using the box.
Our sense of smell can recall events, people, places and memories.
The boxes being user tested with families caring for someone with dementia.
Taste cards to trigger memories of food and drink, as food can also trigger reminiscence.
