The Non-AI AI Image Generator is a tool for designers which mimics the steps of a generative AI system in an analogue way. The purpose being that designers, rather than using AI datasets for inspiration, create their own ‘datasets’ to inspire their work. This is done through a series of more traditional techniques such as drawing charcoal scratches, photography and collage which aim to encourage the designer to utilise their own creativity while taking inspiration from the world around them. The result of this process gives the designer a book of reference images and designs they can refer to for future projects.
